i'm lazy to write 3 posts for the last 3 days..one will do.. saturday i woke up at 6 pm,went for dinner with fat sze and family.his mom was kind enuff to lend me fat sze's sister's guitar..has got a broken string though..  sunday i woke up super late again.its some kind of chinese perayaan,so mom prepared this..  monday dinner at sushi zanmai.  end. The landfill in Payatas, The Philippines, is notoriously known the world over as Smokey Mountain. For over 35 years, the smoking dump site has grown to become a stark and heart-tugging reminder of the desperate conditions of humanity. On a daily basis, children pick through newly arrived garbage to collect material to sell. The earnings made by one child are not enough to even buy food for the day. Hence, entire families are forced to climb the mountain each day, hoping to earn enough to feed everyone. Children as young as four years old are forced to work in this daily struggle for survival. On 10 July 2000, after a period of heavy rain, a trashslide occurred in the Payatas dump claiming over 200 lives, including many children. The tragic victims were the scavengers and sorters at the dump site and those living in the nearby shanties. While the authorities instituted better management of the site after the tragedy, many continue to depend on scavenging as it is their only means of livelihood.Fortunately, there are caring organisations such as The Lighthouse Center For Children Foundation, run by Judge Lorenzo B. Veneracion (former Manila judge and Charter President of Rotary Club Quezon City North). They operate a much-needed charity project to alleviate the sufferings and to help reduce their dependence on scavenging as a livelihood. Among their supporters are FusionExcel International, which has previously donated funds towards this worthy initiative. The Lighthouse Center For Children Foundation currently provides food to these underprivileged children, now numbering over 500 children daily. This figure used to be 2000 children per day, but support and donations have been getting harder and harder to obtain. The foundation hopes to be able to feed 5000-10,000 children every day if it can raise additional funds. There are over 20,000 children living on Smokey Mountain. Intending to function as more than a soup kitchen,the foundation embarked on a Literacy Program for the Payatas children. Most of the children are not attending school, but helping, at their tender age, to support families. Nevertheless, most of the children dream of becoming teachers, nurses or doctors. Sadly, their dreams are hindered by the reality of poverty and its vicious cycles. Through the educational component of the project, the Foundation hopes to break the cycle.In addition, programs are also on-going for Health Care Services and Skills and Livelihood Training are being conducted for the adults. In response to the plight of these children, Totedaddy.com is working with Lighthouse Center For Children Foundation to bring a little cheer to the children this Christmas. went to zen at sunway for dinner yesterday..had some ramen salad with sushi.it was kinda nice..   christmas decorations at sunway.. went to mid valley today..had a ice blended caramel thingy at starbucks..dinner at manhattan fish market..but its was really boring cos i have no money to buy anything..so sad.. I WANT A GUITAR NOW. thats all. @ 1:59 AM

sushi & sashimi! as I wait for my fondue,here's another interesting thing I saw on http://hanpeiling.blogspot.com/ SUSHI & SASHIMI This is a true case of a Japanese man from Gifu prefecture who complains incessantly about a persistent headache. Mr. Shota Fujiwara loves his sashimi and sushi (just like me!)very much to the extent of trying to get them as 'alive and fresh' as can be for his insatiable appetite. He develops a severe headache for the past 3 years and has put cut off as migraine and stress from work. It was only when he started losing his psychomotor skills that he seeks medical help. A brain scan and x-ray reveals little however. But upon closer inspection by a specialist on his scalp, the doctor noticed small movements beneath his skin. It was then that the doctor did a local anesthetic to his scalp and discovered the cause when tiny worms crawled out. A major surgery was thus immediately called for and the extent of the infestation was horrific. Remember, tapeworms and roundworms and their eggs which abound in all fishes fresh or salt fishes can only be killed by thorough cooking and/or freezing the fish to between 4 deg C - 0 deg C. The eggs of these parasites can only be killed if it is cooked or frozen to the said temperatures for a week or more. went to daryl's house to celebrate his birthday on monday.not many people went though,just hwang chiat,jonafat,celine and me.lots of people couldn't go.so sad.  blurface.. just talked and ate..jonathan kept laughing..looked a lot lyk the pig i drew(look down). went to italiannies for dinner..the food there is great but..  this appetizzer was crap..  the seafood risotto was a lot better.. oh yes and another INTERESTING ARTICLE from http://hanpeiling.blogspot.com. visit it if you want,but be warned..she talks about weird things.. Weight lifter's bowel exploded.(wow) The unfortunate competitor, who expressed a plea to remain anonymous, remembered to surgeons that he was " stuck" at the bottom of a personal best attempt in the squat lift when he "sort of pulled his stomach in and pushed extra hard, at the same time as trying to complete the lift."He remembers a loud popping, splattering noise then a fierce stabbing pain and then not being able to move from the squat position. He remained in this position for about half an hour, since trying to stand caused him overwhelming agonizing pain. Paramedics arrived and applied anesthesia on the spot and carried him to an ambulance. He was rushed to surgery, where surgeons described the trauma as an explosive and aggravated prolapse of the bowel". Meanwhile it was revealed that the weight was removed from his shoulders at the time of the incident by two "spotters" on either side of the lifter. The third spotter who was standing behind the lifter was unfortunately sprayed with fecal matter at the time of the incident. This spotter promptly fainted when he realized the extent of of the injury to the lifter, who was a personal friend.This compounded the task of first aid officers who were at a loss as to how to treat the injury to the lifter in any case, who remained in the squatting position moaning in pain much to the consternation of the helpless audience. The hapless lifter had successful surgery to relieve the prolapse, but remained immobilized with his feet elevated in stirrups for 2 weeks to ensure "internal compliance with the surgery and that the organs retracted successfully".To add insult to injury, the ex-lifter required rectal stitching to partially occlude the anal orifice and stitch the rectal passage (which had significantly expanded and torn during the prolapse) and also was put on a low fiber low residue diet to combat flatulence to avoid any possibility of a recurrence.
